About Us

It’s hard work to help your children develop a Jewish identity that is strong, authentic, and natural. My husband and I did not grow up in observant homes. We have made the choice to raise our children in a Jewish home–whatever that looks like to us. Each day we make the choice to live Jewishly. To us this means celebrating Jewish holidays, participating in synagogue, eating delicious Jewish food, making fun crafts, learning Torah and participating in tikkun olam.

In addition to creating an authentic Jewish experience for my family, I am also a religious school teacher at our local synagogue. I teach kindergarten and first grade. This experience has deepened my interest in finding ways to engage with Jewish learning through crafts and other fun activities. When I first started teaching and looked online for lesson plan ideas, I struggled to find quality activities that would enrich my lesson objectives. I felt only a few subjects and themes were covered, usually with the same crafts and minimal interaction with the deeper values and reasons behind these topics. I borrowed what I could and developed my own ideas to create a fun, interactive, and educational experience for my students. I’m happy to share some of the activities I’ve found helpful in my classroom. I’m always looking for new ideas and would love to hear yours!

We want to make living Jewishly fun and easy for our family, my students, their families, and anyone else who shares these interests. This site is all about living as a Jewish family through crafts, activities, books, food and love. Join us on this journey of raising children with love and faith.
