My youngest two boys are both obsessed with numbers and counting which makes this Flip, Match and Dot Dreidels activity such a fun and developmentally appropriate challenge for them! We paired it with one of our beloved Hanukkah books that we’ve had forever to make it a simple but meaningful and fun Hanukkah exploration.

What You’ll Need
- Dreidel Sheet free printable
- Dot markers
- Uno card game – we love our Emoji Uno Set!
- Favorite Hanukkah book that involves counting like this Hanukkah Counting Board Book (optional)
Putting it Together
- Print the Dreidel Sheet.
- Pull out the green, blue, yellow and red dot markers.
- Sort through the uno set and pull out all specialty cards (reverse, skip, +2) as well as the 0.
- Set out the remaining cards, Dreidel Sheet, and dot markers on a tabletop.
- Invite your child to flip over the top card from the deck, identify the number shown on the card, then count out that many dreidels by dotting each one with the colored dot marker that corresponds to the color on the uno card they flipped over.
- Repeat until all dreidels have been dotted!

Finished & Loving It!
I love how much my boys love numbers! Counting is always a fun activity for them so it really makes all these developmentally appropriate activities that involve counting automatically more fun for them. But even if your child doesn’t care so much for numbers and counting, the Flip, Match and Dot Dreidels activity is short, sweet, involves physical movement, and let’s them decorate a dreidel sheet so I sure hope some fun is had!

We are big fans of the real Uno game and have multiple different types of themed Uno sets. Pulling out the emoji one added some extra fun for the boys. Each time they flip over a card they are using fine motor skills, then of course practicing numeral identification, counting, one to one correspondence, and color matching. So many great skills!!

Any card set that has multiple colors (that you have dot markers that match!) would totally work for this game! It’s really such a simple concept of matching and numeral identification, but with the dreidel theme elevates it to something special, fun, and holiday appropriate!
