We have done, and will continue to do, A LOT of Ten Plagues activities in preparation for and celebration of Passover and this Ten Plagues Easy DIY Tray is just so simple that you have to give it a try for your next celebration or Torah story learning!
What You’ll Need
- Plastic painters palette
- Ten Plagues print out
- Scissors
- Watered down glue
- Paint brush
Putting It Together
- Print out the Ten Plagues print out.
- Invite your child to cut out the circles.
- Next, line up the plague symbols in their correct sequential order.
- Have your kiddo glue the larger title circle in the middle circle then the plague circles in each separate paint bowl in their correct order.
- Set out on your Passover Seder table as a way to help your child remember the Ten Plagues.
- This activity would work well as a review when followed by your favorite book that introduces the Ten Plagues, like Let Our People Go!, or our Ten Plagues 3 Part Cards.
Finished & Loving It!
I’ve been on a mission for super simple crafts and activities for like the entire last year. And yes, here’s another one! When it’s simple but still meaningful and helpful to my kids’ learning then I am sold!
This craft is not only easy to assemble, but an easy way to review the ten plagues. Point to the image and the symbol should trigger a reminder for the plague it represents.
I love that this was a challenging scissor practice for my kids. Cutting circles is not easy! It takes lots of practice. I made sure to stand back, give my kids plenty of time to slowly cut their circles, and enjoy observing them practicing this skill.
I love this Ten Plagues Easy DIY Tray as a Passover decoration in and of itself but I can also think of some fun ways it could be used interactively during a Passover seder. Edible plagues, plague loose parts, as the tray to catch the wine/juice drops as you recite the plagues … so many options! Let me know if you try one!
We created a whole page dedicated to Torah Stories, our Torah Stories page. Check it out! It includes some of the Torah Stories activities we plan to do this unit, as well as the activities we’ve done in previous years.
And don’t forget that we introduce each torah story with a set of 3 Part Cards. All the cards are available in our With, Love, Ima Shop.
