What You’ll Need

  • Your favorite playdough (check out my Smell of Sukkot Playdough Experience post for the recipes we used!)
  • Puffy fruit stickers
  • Rocks (we chose rocks that allowed us to have a little grip. You could also use wooden blocks or empty jars, whatever works!)

Putting It Together

  1. Set up your playdough.
  2. Attach your puffy fruit stickers to your rocks or whatever base you’re using.
  3. Invite your kids to stamp and explore this fun Sukkot sensory activity!

Finished & Loving It!

This DIY Sukkot Playdough Stamps activity was SO easy to set up! The longest part was of course making the playdough but even that is super easy. I posted the Scents of Sukkot playdough recipes I used in my Smell of Sukkot Playdough Experience post.

I love that we used rocks from our backyard–what a great way to use something from nature! And I looked for rocks that allowed the kids to get a good pincher grasp on the sides. So my kiddos got some fine motor skills practice in addition to some sensory play. Finding little ways to expose and practice these developmental skills is so great.

The kids were really excited to try it out and were so happy when they were able to make the different shapes in the playdough!

Why fruit? Fruit is commonly used as a way to decorate the sukkah since this holiday is a harvest festival. I love that this was a super easy way to talk about that symbolism while also having a fun time.

I also loved using the different scented playdough like we did last year so that we could again discuss why these scents are connected to Sukkot.

It always amazes me how much learning can happen with hands-on fun activities like this!
