Total Time 15 minutes

Cuisine American
Servings 1 person

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup heavy cream *If you don't have heavy cream you can substitute with half and half, or even all whole milk
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 Tbsp sugar
  • 1 Tbsp honey plus more for drizzle (optional)
  • ice
  • 1 cup salt
  • 1 gallon ziploc bag
  • 1 quart/sandwich ziploc bag

Instructions

  • Add heavy cream, milk, vanilla, sugar, and honey to a quart sized ziploc bag. Stir. Close the bag, squeezing out all excess air. Fold over top of bag and tape with packing tape (optional).
  • Add a layer of ice to the gallon size ziploc bag. Pour salt over the ice and shake to cover the ice.
  • Add quart bag filled with ice cream liquid. Close gallon bag, squeezing out excess air.
  • Shake the bag for about 10 minutes, until the liquid has transformed into the texture you want. Shaking longer will result in a more traditional ice cream texture but you can stop earlier and enjoy a cream, soft serve type of ice cream.
  • When desired consistency is reached, remove quart size bag and rinse in cold water. Carefully open the bag and squeeze the ice cream contents into a bowl.
  • Drizzle with extra honey if desired. Enjoy!
