Hanukkah Round Up 2020

This Month I’m Focusing On Gratitude

I have a hard time planning for holidays when there are still other holidays on the calendar. Yes, I’m looking at you Thanksgiving! Since Hanukkah is early this year (starts sundown Thursday, December 10th), I won’t be engaging my kiddos in Hanukkah activities until after Thanksgiving passes. While we don’t do a traditional American turkey Thanksgiving, we do like to spend the month of November focusing on gratitude and being thankful. (Check out our Instagram posts for up to date November experiences!) So while I will invite my kids to enjoy all kinds of hands-on arts, crafts, sensory activities, and other fun experiences that will focus on gratitude this month, I also know that I can’t wait until after Thanksgiving to do all MY Hanukkah planning!

But I’ll Still Plan For Hanukkah Too

To help me plan for a family-focused, present Hanukkah, I always start with filling out my Hanukkah Family-Focused Planner. It organizes nightly activities so each night you can engage your family in meaningful Hanukkah experiences. It also helps plan the menu for each night so you can make sure to shop for all your favorite latkes and sufganiyot! If you’d like a free printable Hanukkah 2020 Family-Focused Planner, sign up below and it will arrive in your in-box!

Now, if you’ve been following me for awhile you know I have trouble posting my activities to this blog in a timely manner. Four kids (one a baby), distance learning, and managing my own jobs means that I’m often behind on my blog posts. But I keep up on Instagram so definitely follow me there for up-to-date posts!

I started jotting down some ideas this morning. There are always some activities and latkes that we HAVE to do each year. But I also like trying new ideas as well. Do you have a favorite recipe I should try this year? Or a fun family activity? Shoot me an email and let me know all about it!

Start Planning Now!

If you’re anxious to start planning and/or doing Hanukkah activities, check out the Hanukkah activities from previous years I’ve already posted on the blog. This year’s activities will be posted as soon as I can get my act together!

And don’t forget to get your free copy of the Hanukkah 2020 Family-Focused Planner! Start dreaming of a holiday filled with light, love, hope and lots of present, family quality time!
