Passover 2021 Round Up

Passover is early on the secular calendar this year but have no fear, we’ve got you covered with lots of fun, engaging, and meaningful crafts and activities all linked here on our Passover 2021 Round Up page!

Passover starts on March 27th this year. This holiday commemorates the exodus of the Jews from slavery in Egypt. There are many bits and pieces to this story–slavery, Moses, the 10 plagues, fleeing Egypt, parting of the Red Sea, and dancing in happiness once the Jews crossed into freedom. PJ Library has a wonderful kid-accessible version of the Passover story here.

My family retells and reviews the Passover story every year in the weeks leading up to Passover, as well as during the seder. I strongly believe that retelling the story multiple times and in multiple ways (crafts, activities, drama, books) helps reinforce the story itself as well as key symbols, elements and traditions.

Passover Seder and Kids' Activities Planners

I always start my Passover planning with my special planners to keep me organized. I love to map our which kids’ activities I know I want to do, as well as what supplies I’ll need to have on hand, in my Passover 2021 Kids’ Activities Planner. Jotting down the materials especially helps me if I need to make sure I order some in time to do the activity!

Passover Kids' Activities Planner

For each seder I use my Passover 2021 Seder Planner to make sure I have all the ritual items ready, my menu figured out, the plague bags set up, and any other things I don’t want to forget. Jotting down the afikomen prize always makes sure I remember to get one so there won’t be any disappointed kids at the seder 😉
